Hiatus has celebrated Earth Month since we opened in 2007. We treat our guests, our environment, and our world with holistic principles and a servant’s heart–that’s why we believe in supporting clean water for all, water conservation, and all efforts to maintain our natural resources and beautiful planet.
Today 663 million people live without access to one of life’s most basic needs, water. Women and children walk up to four hours a day to collect dirty water. Drinking dirty water results in the death of 1,400 children every day from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation conditions.

After a successful fundraising effort over the past two years to build a clean-water well serving more than 600 people, Hiatus is once again dedicating Earth Month to charity: water. Last year, with your help, we hit our goal of $10,000 will build a well to provide clean drinking water for a village serving more than 250 people. This year, once again, we have several ways you can help us with our fundraising efforts:
