PLANO, TX (January 24, 2014) – Hiatus Spa + Retreat, the award-winning Texas day spa with locations in Dallas and Austin, is excited to announce the opening of its third location in Plano, Texas. Located at the Willow Bend Wellness Center, the 5,000 square-foot day spa is slated to open its doors at the end of April.
The new spa will feature reclaimed wood treatments and original artwork by Texas artist Jan Heaton. Spa guests will enjoy 14 treatment rooms, a nail therapy lounge with six zero-gravity chairs, a hydrotherapy room with multi-sensory Dermalife Hydrospa, an inviting relaxation area and separate men’s and women’s dressing rooms with saunas.
“We’ve been looking for the perfect location in Plano for more than a year, and this is it. The Willowbend Wellness Center is a beautiful, modern building, with complementary co-tenants, abundant parking, and easy accessibility to the Dallas North Tollway,“ says Sheila Garrison.
Hiatus Spa + Retreat was founded in Dallas in 2007, by Sheila Garrison and Kristin Heaton-Peabody, along with partner and general counsel Bill Garrison. Since the inception of their business, the spa has received numerous accolades including D Magazine’s Best of Big D 2013 – Best Spa. Hiatus Spa + Retreat has been a favorite of locals in Dallas throughout the past six years, and is excited to expand and open a new location that is accessible to its north-of-Dallas patrons.
Each of Hiatus’ signature services – massage, facial, body treatment and nail therapy – is complemented by a soothing foot soak in a copper bowl, a sensory journey with customized aromatherapy oils, aromatic steam towel and a personalized finishing touch. Hiatus offers unique services including the underwater Glow Massage and The Best Facial Ever, as well as their acclaimed “Monthly Retreat” – a hybrid massage and body treatment created each month with seasonal ingredients and finished with a handcrafted cocktail.
